FAQ
What Is a Dream Consult?
A Dream Consult is an individual session devoted to exploring a dream that has stayed with you, affected you, or feels important.
Rather than interpreting the dream for you, we work with the dream together, listening to its images, feelings, symbols, and movement to discover what the dream may be showing you, how its message relates to your life now, and what useful information can be applied to your daily life.
You do not need to understand your dream before coming. You simply bring the dream, and we begin there.
Who Is a Dream Consult For?

You had a dream that strongly affected you or continues to stay with you.

You sense that a dream is trying to tell you something, but you are unsure how to understand it.

What Is the Difference Between Dream Work and Dream Interpretation?
Dreams speak in a language of symbols, images, feelings, and movement. It is a language I have been learning to read and work with for more than 25 years.
In a Dream Consult, we stay with the dream itself, working with its images, feelings, movement, and details. The dreamer is an active participant in discovering what the dream is showing, how its messages relate to life now, and what useful information can be applied in daily life.
Over time, Dream Work can also teach you how to begin recognizing and reading the language of your own dreams, creating an ongoing relationship with the guidance they offer.
My Relationship With Dreams
Dreams have interested me for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, I had vivid dreams and unusual experiences within them.
I remember discovering that if I had forgotten something in a dream, I could focus my attention back on my home, find the object I needed, and then return to where I had been in the dream. The difficult part was learning to hold onto the object as I let go of one place and returned to another. At the time, I simply thought it was fun.
As I grew older and began studying psychotherapy, Dream Work, Mental Imagery, and spiritual wisdom, I became increasingly fascinated by dreams and by other experiences I had known in the dream world. Many of my questions to my teachers, and to myself, centered around understanding what was happening and what dreams were capable of revealing.
Looking back, I can see that I was continually guided toward teachers, programs, studies, and experiences that allowed me to explore this world more fully.
In 2003, I began leading Dream Groups as part of my psychotherapy practice. Over the years, dreams became an increasingly important part of the way I worked and understood the relationship between our everyday lives and the wisdom that comes to us through dreams and imagery.
When I retired from psychotherapy, I continued to receive inquiries from people asking whether I would work with them or offer groups. For several years I declined, I was incubating a synthesis of my years of study and practice. Then, in 2024, a series of inner and outer promptings made it very clear to me that it was time to begin offering this work again.
Since returning, I have written five books and developed a specialized approach that brings together Dream Work, Mental Imagery, psychotherapy, and more than 35 years of clinical experience.
Dreams speak in a language of symbols, images, feelings, and movement. It is a language I have been learning to read for more than 25 years, and I continue to be delighted by what unfolds when people begin to listen to their dreams, understand their messages, and discover how that information can be applied to their lives.
What continues to enthrall me is what I see happen in individuals and groups when people stay with this work. Again and again, dreams reveal connections, possibilities, and guidance that could not have been anticipated at the beginning.
